Have you checked out the podcast section of this website? It's designed to be quick and simple with kids as the focus. Young family members, and my family friends sit down and talk about what's on their mind. It's great! It's called "Ten Minutes or Less". Each episode is exactly that...ten minutes or less. Enjoy!
P.S. Is there a topic you'd like us to chat about? You can always comment below or e-mail!
Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Improve, Present. These are the steps to the Engineering Process.
I'm so proud of my third graders and sixth graders this week. After many weeks of working diligently through the entire Engineering Process, they have completed their first Engineering project. They all designed, tested, re-tested, improved, and presented their zip line prototypes for Batman.
Yes, Mr. Wayne was able to take time out of his busy schedule of saving Gotham City to help choose the best zip line prototypes for his utility belt.
As Mr. Wayne and I watched the teams present, we asked ourselves, is this zip line safe? Is it smooth while traveling? Is it cost effecient? And, would I be willing to purchase it?
Hanging on my Batman Zip Line wall now, are 6 winning and runners up zip lines that Mr. Wayne has chosen to be the best.
Again, I'm so proud of what my students can do.
As I am sitting here after school updating my website, I realized I was missing one important thing. Current Events. How will people know what's going on in the world of Art & Engineering if I'm not willing to share that information? So I decided to start a blog on this page. I will do my best to write often, but if that doesn't happen, you have to understand that I am constantly busy. Like, seriously, busy.
I do a lot. And no, I'm not bragging by any means, I'm just saying that blogging is probably last on my to-do list. Although, it should be higher. I'm a pretty good writer too.
Okay, now I'm bragging.
So today, is basically, just an annoucement that I officially have a blog on my website. And I'm hoping to fill it with current events, or things I currently find that others might find interesting.
Okay, I'm done now. :)
